First Flight!

Alright! I finally got to do my first flight. Everyone has to do CCTs (Combat Crew Training) before we're mission ready. It consists of a few pinnacle landings, some dust landings and an instrument approach, all during the day and at night. Here are a few pics I took from the jump seat before I did mine. I'll be on night shift for awhile so these will probably be the last pictures I post in color for quite some time. Everything else I see for the next few months will be a nice shade of green... I may get to see the sun again in a few months!

Good pics. I think the mountains look pretty. Must be pretty cold there?

Yeah, I could say I'd rather be flying in Utah. But it is what it is. -- Thanks Adam. Spirits are doing well now. Not really much to complain about, but who knows what'll happen tomorrow! -- And it's actually not too terribly cold here. It was really chilly when we first arrived but it's not bad. I stood in the lunch line today in my PT shorts and T-shirt and wasn't really too cold. Give it a month! They say it'll be getting much colder soon.

Hey bro! Sounds like your getting settled. I gotta say, seeing those pics brings back some memories of walking through those mountains. LOL. Something I will never miss. Flying over them sounds much more fun! Better yet let's all go to Utah when you get back! Take care buddy, me and meg will be prayin for ya!
